Yes there’s no doubt about it , I’m in a funk. I haven’t touched a pencil in over two months now. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that it’s necessarily a bad thing. It just means that I’ve shifted my focus from drawing to wood working. I’m sure I’ll be drawing again as soon as I get a few projects out of my system.

I’ve been toying with the idea of making a new mailbox for over a year now, and it’s finally done. The old one that came with the house had seen better days. Plus, I was asked to make a pair of corbels to support a fireplace mantle. I’ll have pictures when they’re done. And last but not least, I’ve started making a coffin shaped pencil box. Busy, busy, busy.

First of all I have to say thank you to all who voted in the contest. Winning has already sent a few people my way to have a look,so to any who are here for the first time, welcome and thanks for dropping by.
I once heard an auther say( I can't remember who)that there's nothing that inspires you to write like a royalty cheque. Well, I don't know about that because I've never sold a drawing, but I can honestly say that nothing has ever inspired me to draw as much as recognition from my peers.

Sadly, I'm all caught up. I say sadly because I kinda like posting a new drawing everyday but I don't really work that fast.
Besides, since discovering my love of drawing, I've been neglecting my other creative endeavors. I do some wood carving and I promised a friend I'd do a piece for him. So I have to get cracking. My next drawing will be my reward for finishing the carving. I'll post pictures.

Hi everyone, thanks for the interest in my drawings.
I only started drawing in October of last year and I'm amazed at my progress. I'm getting to the point where I realise how little I know but I'm looking forward to learning more.
Going to keep posting my drawing about one a day until I catch up. They get better, I promise.
